On Wednesday 19 November, a further 9 brothers committed themselves to living the Carmelite Way for another year when they renewed their vows. The renewal ceremony took place during Mass presider over by Fr Bruce Clark (Prior Provincial) in the St Elias community at Hera, Timor-Leste.
Brothers Bonifacio Bragança, Antonio Junias Da Gloria, Calisto Pereira Rodrigués, Zebedeu De Jesus Vidigal, Gaudencio do Rosario, Virgilio De Jesus Brites, Honorio Pereira Bobo Lobato, Ponciano Norberto De Deus, and Nataçio De Jesus Maia pledged themselves to continue to grow in the Carmelite charism of prayer, fraternity and service.
At present there are 18 brothers in Simple Vows (initial commitment) and 5 in Solemn Vows (life-long commitment) completing their training for ministry. Of the 18 in Simple Vows, 6 will make their Solemn Vows tomorrow 20 November.
