The new Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Revd and Rt Hon Dame Sarah Mullally, visited the Carmelites at Aylesform and Faversham on her way to Canterbury Cathedral.

Fr Joshy Pottackal O.Carm. was ordained auxiliary bishop for the Diocese of Mainz, Germany on 15 March.

On Wednesday 19 November, a further 9 brothers committed themselves to living the Carmelite Way for another year when they renewed their vows. The renewal ceremony took place during Mass presider over by Fr Bruce Clark (Prior Provincial) in the St Elias community at Hera, Timor-Leste.

On Friday 29 August 2025 Fr Paul celebrated his Golden Jubilee of Priesthood at Holy Spirit Seminary, Banyo (QLD).

The General Chapter of the Carmelite Order began today in Malang, Indonesia. It is the first time that the General Chapter has been held outside Europe. The Chapter will run until Friday 26 September.

It’s no accident that the Gospels contain many instances of shared meals, weddings feasts and miraculous feeding. In the Scriptures, meals always have something to do with the great meal – the eternal wedding feast.

It is a horrible feeling to find yourself locked out of home. It can instil panic. What will I do now? It is even worse if those inside won’t let you in, or even recognise you. Worse still if the house is full of strangers.

A joyful new tradition has taken root at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish (OLMC) in Wentworthville.

On the 9 days before the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (16 July), we pray for the following intentions for all those in need throughout the world. The novena can be prayed at any time of the year for these intentions or for your own asking Our Lady of Mount Carmel to intercede and pray with us.
